For Niss, just go to the tree in the upper right hand corner of the map between Kelan and Welling. then return to her house and allow her to join you. Afterwards, you will need to save her again when shes tied to the tree stump. go into her house in Kelan, and save her from the pirates. Next you will need to start on Xaolans quest. Little do you know that later, that same evil man, later becomes one of your greatest allies. So by doing these quests, you know that Rocas father is killed by Fredrico, who is searching for the "Blue Gem". La Tims Lease quest will be explained further in the story. You need to do her fathers quest because this is actually the activating quest for getting Fredrico. then talk to the guard at the door after that scene. roca will say she wants to speak with her father, so take her to Kelan and go into the chiefs house. This quest activates when you try to go into the troll cave leading to south island. The main characters in this storyline quest are Roca, Niss, and Clive.But in truth, all human pets have a roll in the story almost.

From there enter the waterfall and speak to the fairy if you haven't already then go back to the "lake" and you will get a scene in which Roca and Xao are playing in the water (my favorite part of the quest). Roca and xaolan will leave you temporarily. Go to the waterfall where you do the GS prequest near holly entrance. If you somehow can't trigger Roca's quest that means you took Roca without completing "the first trial" quest.
